Renee Aymami

Renee Aymami, M.Ed., LPC, NCC is a licensed professional counselor in Louisiana as well as a national certified counselor. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of New Orleans in 2005. She received a Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of New Orleans in 2012 and became a National Certified Counselor the same year. Renee became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2013. She is a current member in good standing with the American Counseling Association as well as Chi Sigma Iota Alpha Eta Chapter.

Renee has a wide variety of experience in providing counseling services to individuals in need including children, adolescents, adults, and families who were diagnosed with emotional, mental, and behavioral disorders. She has worked with all ages from 4 years to 56 years old. She enjoys the challenge of working with high-risk clients in the hopes of facilitating behavioral change. Renee’s counseling style is very warm and non-judgmental in her efforts to empathize with the individual client’s needs. She uses CBT, Solution-Focused and Reality Therapy to encourage clients to make more positive decisions in their daily lives. She also uses a combination of play and art techniques when it is beneficial to her client's progress. Renee believes it is a very collaborative effort between therapist and client and most importantly is the warm and positive relationship that forms in the process.

Renee was born and raised in the New Orleans metro area but has traveled all around the world which has helped her to broaden her horizons and perspective on people and their specific cultures. In her spare time, she is a Saint’s football fan, a loving dog mom to two spoiled pugs and continues to enjoy traveling as much as circumstances allow.
