Jennifer Kagan
Jennifer Kagan, M.A., LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana and a National Certified Counselor. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans. She received a Masters of Arts Degree in School and Community Counseling from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in 2007 and became a Nationally Certified Counselor the same year. Jennifer became a Licensed Certified Counselor in 2011.
Jennifer has a wide variety of experience in providing counseling services to individuals in need including children, adolescents, and adults. She has been in education over 25 years first as a teacher then as a professional counselor. Jennifer’s counseling style is very warm and accepting. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy techniques.
She is dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion respect, and evidenced-based care. She believes every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and she strives to create a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Jennifer was born and raised in New Orleans. In her spare time she enjoys reading and painting.
