Her client work has focused on finding new ways to problem solve through creative expression, building and practicing coping skills, emotional recognition, communication skills, grounding activities, anxiety, moving through trauma, and relationships. Jessie has spent the last four years working at a therapeutic day treatment program leading group art therapy sessions suited to the social, emotional and developmental needs of students k-12 with multiple mental health diagnoses, behavior dysregulation and system trauma. Previously Jessie worked in Chicago where she collaborated with a team of expressive therapists in outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care units; providing person-centered group therapy for an adult population with dual diagnosis.

Jessie enjoys gardening, weaving on looms and reading a good book. While she is not originally from Louisiana, she loves the warm weather and spirit of the city of New Orleans and has lived in the city for over 6 years now.
